my hope is McConnell schedules the impeachment vote on the same day as the State of the Union address happens. Trump can spend an hour or two pointing and laughing at the Democrats.

What I suspect will happen is the Democrats won't attend the SOTU speech. Another nail in their coffins for next year. Should be fun!

They make no difference. They're just barking at the moon. DJT has been impeached by the House on a partisan vote. He will not be convicted or removed by the Senate, also on a partisan vote. He will run in 2020, lose the popular vote, win the Electoral College, and be President until January 20, 2025. Take that to the bank.
