I don't think so. The Moral Majority hasn't been winning all that much or staying won ever since before they even got started, like when Anita Hill got a pie thrown in her face and when Ronald Reagan came out against California banning gay teachers and won.
There will be a lot less division and the government will return to normalcy once the Christian Right is no longer holding it hostage. It will just take another decade or so.

Please do! People are too comfortable, working, and seeing their investments and homes increasing in value. Inflation is low, as are energy prices. It would take a major upheaval to force people to that kind of response. The only wild card is disarmament of the law abiding.
