That's the biggest lie. Socialists preach primacy of the state.

Leftists approach Christianity like they approach patriotism and nationality: like Martians attempting to mimic their way through by what they saw on TV airwaves that reached their planet. Koolaid colors on Maddow, sun-bleached liveries on Kerry/Edwards transport. Speaking freakish rote like "folks" and "our democracy" in endless repetition.

Jesus was all about taking care of those less fortunate, caring for children, providing for the poor, etc. If you have an issue, take it up with him. That's what he stood for. I know that doesn't fit the narrative of those who support a hateful president, but there it is.

He wouldn’t be a full blown Communist. But if you’ve read the Bible at all you would certainly peg him closer to that than whatever the Religious Right has become.

Get a KJV, and learn there's more to it.

Please list those "anti-liberal" biblical references by chapter and verse.

There's more to the KJV than Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13. And in terms of governing the country by religious principles, there's absolutely zero difference between the KJV and modern translations. There are theological differences (I grew up in a KJV-only Independent Fundamental Baptist church) but there's no way those should make a difference in terms of how the country is governed.

I know plenty about the KJV. Jesus was all about the down-trodden, poor, afflicted, sick, children, etc. Not much more to it than that. Totally goes against how Trump and some of his supporters think and act.

If you want to go back even further, the OT talking about taking in immigrants.

It's pretty clear these days that conservatives only care about the anti-gay parts of the Bible and the parts that promote patriarchy and suppressing women, specifically the letters from Paul. That should be expected since they could care less about the Constitution outside of the 2nd Amendment.

Unfortunately, The Loudest voices of supposed Christian folks have subverted the multitudes of ACTUAL listeners of the "TRUTH of what Jesus Preached".

Somehow Trump and his aberrant "Fundies" have coerced what Christians actually stand for!! But that should have a totally different thread to have combating sides to discuss!!

I agree totally, and actually truly admitted Christians SHOULD feel disenfranchised by this CORRUPTION!!

Just as an aside, I, as a young kid, followed Billy Graham and actually attended one of his revival meeting, and I am totally disgusted with how his son has bastardized his father's legacy!!
