During the second term, Presidents often come to think about their legacy. But nothing he does now will erase this stain. This is how he will be remembered. Considering his hubris, this will gnaw on him day and night for the rest of his life. That will probably give some people a certain satisfaction. Just watch how he obsesses about this in the coming years, like Sysphus.

Given that almost nobody who supports Trump takes the impeachment charges seriously, it's hard to see how it makes much difference to his legacy.

Impeachment now becomes meaningless along with the terms Racist and Nobel Peace Prize.

Especially when Trump is re-elected.

You seem to forget that half the country are not Trump supporters. Doesn't matter that you or his supporters don't really care that he's been impeached. It will stay with him as long as there is history to be learned. He will forever be known as only the third president to be impeached. An honor that he doesn't seem to be happy having.

Watch this video from before he was elected.

It tells you everything about the Corrupt Democrats in their own words.

That half already hated Trump so, again, the impeachment makes little if any difference to his legacy.

You do realize that legacy is ongoing, right? Trump knows what impeachment means to his legacy even if you don't. He ain't happy.

How about we stop foreign aid altogether? Maybe I misread that part of the Constitution or the Founders intent.

Beware of history. What will it say about the kangaroo court that was used to do it? This is really the first partisan impeachment ever. There was nothing honorable about how this was carried out. It was a political hit. Nothing more and nothing less.

For the record foreign aid is used to twist arms of allies and opponents all the time and for a variety of reasons.

For example : If a certain SE Asian country refused to accept Muslim refugees from China. They found themselves suddenly put on the human rights violators list. Kicked out of the Pacific Trade agreement, and the southern rival was removed from the violators list and allowed into the trade agreement. Presidents have punished based upon their ego's for a very long time before Trump.

That SE asian victim of our punishment was forced firmly into China's camp. An ally for decades lost. The Democrats didn't seem to care.

I agree about stopping foreign aid. God knows we could use the money in our own country. But that will never happen, as our government needs to make sure other governments are forever beholden.
