WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday night, becoming only the third American chief executive to be formally charged under the Constitution’s ultimate remedy for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Seriously, did no one take classes in government in school? The House now has zero say in what happens in the Senate. Without Pelosi moving the Articles forward, there is no impeachment to be considered by the Senate. If Pelosi wanted certain people to testify she should have availed herself of the courts to challenge Executive Privilege as others in past inquiries have done. Why didn’t Pelosi do her job? Why is she now trying to demand others do her job for her? And how, in all that’s holy, do you think she has the right to demand the Senate do anything at all? If you want to be upset at how this has proceeded, that belongs solely to the Democrats who tried to shortcut their way out of doing their jobs and are now trying to blame their own failures on the GOP and the Senate.

It seems that you are intentionally overlooking a part of that quote you had posted

Most American's would define Impeachment with removal. Thus, in most American's minds, Trump was not impeached, and never will be. To them, this is a fake impeachment, or impeachment in name only.

It's backfiring bigly on the crazed House Democrats.
The White House sources told CBS NEWS that the delay in sending the articles of impeachment is being considered 'a Christmas gift,' as it can be used to show that that the Democrats are scared of starting a Senate impeachment trial that they know they'll lose because they don't believe their case will stand up to scrutiny.

Congressional Republicans have already started to use this message in public.
On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that holding off on sending the articles of impeachment indicated Democrats 'may be too afraid to even transmit their shoddy work product to the Senate.'

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, meanwhile, was quoted as saying that Pelosi is 'admitting defeat by not sending them. By refusing to send impeachment over, she knows its outcome is not good.'

White House to argue that Trump has NOT been officially impeached because the House has yet to send the articles to the Senate

Bill Clinton was impeached, in the trial in the Senate he was 'acquitted', yet in the history books he is still impeached.
No matter what happens in the Senate Trumps name and reputation and Presidency will forever bear the stain of impeachment. Just like Clinton.

Bill Clinton was impeached because the US House Impeached Clinton. The trial is irrelevant to that.

Donald Trump has not been impeached because the US House has not Impeached President Trump. They've only voted to do so.

And OP is correct that there is a constitutional question about whether he has actually been impeached. If the answer is "yes," that is the worse scenario for the Dems, as the Republican controlled Senate now has full control over when the trial takes place, and does not have to wait for Pelosi to send managers or prepare evidence. Any leverage that she had left depends ENTIRELY on the idea that the process is not complete until she sends the articles.

In short, you had better hope that it is decided that he has NOT been impeached.
Yes, he has been impeached. Articles will go to the Senate. Senate will not remove him. We all know the drill.

In name only is a pretty strong indictment. Even though he will not be removed, Trump's name will carry that legacy forever.
