Putinesque. Traditional fascist economics and strongman tactics to get and keep power. Notice all his bestest best buddies are strongmen type leaders. None of those weak kneed democracy types. Military parade anybody?

More than likely, he'll be using the S word, quite often, in any debate to scare off voters. Ah! That scary S word will always do it! Even Biden he'll accuse of being a Socialist!

What needs to be debated?
There really isn't anything to debate and 95% of the country has made up their minds.

Get rid of them for 2020.

I don't see any reason to do without debates this time. We are deciding the next four years, not the last four.

Let the public witness the two or more candidates. I am sure the Libertarians and the Greens will have candidates, so make it four to start with. Let us see what each has to say, let us have a general public fully informed.

Get it all out in the open. With a panel of fact checkers to announce fact resolution whenever one is challenged by a participant. In the age of Siri that is easy-peasy.

I also propose a drug test, the same as for athletes, before the debates.

If the debates are going to be fair Hannity needs to be one of the chosen moderators !!! Its the only way to balance out the leftwing communist moderators !!!
After all who doesn't want to hear how Hannity fell off a roof and landed in talk radio, for the 100th time !!!

That's a scenario where the candidates need not even attend....'cause they'd never get a word in edgewise. Hannity would go after the nutjobs on the left, be they candidates or "moderators", and would never, ever shut up. Bless his heart, though....it takes a Hannity to compensate for the millions of good people who look the other way and do nothing.

The biggest problem with Hannity is that he campaigned for Trump. Even Fox would not use him as a mod.

There's no reason to hold debates that resemble the debates held in 2016. Trump's large and in charge now, so he's calling the shots. Zero involvement/participation from the fake news media. Trump will let their camera's into the venue, but that is all.

Spewing Liberal propaganda 24/7/365 has consequences.

But it will not be on a slanted playing field advantaging the Democrats this time.
One of two possibilities:

1) tRump will back out

2) tRump will debate

What won't happen is tRump setting up the rules for his own debate.

My bet is that he'll debate. No one on the planet wants face time more than tRump does. Besides, if he fails to appear, it'll be labelled cowardice. While he's clearly a coward, he hates having that reported.

Smart. Very smart.
