A convenience store clerk shot and killed an assailant who assaulted and pistol whipped him during a violent robbery Sunday night in Bay Point — a harrowing attack that was captured on video, officials said.
The worst part is the random guy pretending to care at the end and who says "you're ok ?" before snatching the clerk's gun from the counter and running with it.

Are you certain it’s some random guy and not the owner or manager? He seemed to come from the back of the store.
Black on Asian violence in San Francisco is rampant. I hope more Asian shop owners start packing. If the perps get shot often enough, it might start having a deterrent effect.
Crime is so one-sided in San Fran that BART, the public transit system, has stopped disseminating videos of crime on ithe subway and so forth because it might lead to hard feelings or unwelcome conclusions about that particular demographic. Naturally, all actions like that do is exacerbate divisions, because all but the guiltiest, most bourgeois white liberals understand quite well who is committing the majority of crimes.
These days robbers are more likely to get the death penalty (at the hands of business and home owners) than killers are. At least some bad guys are still dying. Nothing brings me more joy than a dead criminal.
I am all for the store clerk protecting himself through any means necessary. I am not so bloodthirsty that the death of anyone, even a criminal, would ever bring me joy. Using deadly force can affect people differently. I hope the store clerk can handle it

Possibly. But in that case, why would he not run after the guys gun in hand instead of tucking it under his shirt in the small of his back before leaving.

It was the store manager who has been held at gunpoint in the back of the store by the second suspect.
A story with a happy ending. We need more of these.
