I don't believe otherwise. I merely used heart disease as an example of healthcare costs we all pay for with "private" health insurance.
With "private" insurance or Universal Healthcare, we are all paying for everyone else. Period. UHC is simply more humane, more civilized, and more cost efficient. And it provides far better outcomes.
It is more civilized...if we forget the armed robbery to fund it and the death panels it implores.
Are you really under the impression that corporations pay taxes? They don't. The cost of corporate taxes are factored into the pricing formula for the goods/services they sell:
That PGPF chart is interesting in that it includes how the corporate income tax affects each income group. Most people don't realize that corporate income tax is included as overhead in the pricing formula for goods/services and is therefore embedded in the price of everything we buy. Corporations don't actually pay it. It's passed on to the end users/consumers. It's a hidden tax on whoever buys a corporation's goods or services.
Surprisingly they understand that perfectly when Trump imposes tariff which is exactly the same scenario as corporate tax.

Yes, yes we should. We aren't supposed to be in the "letting people suffer and/or starve to death" business
People who aren't selfish sociopaths (which I would hope is all of us, but from these boards, it's become apparent that isn't the case)
I quite agree with you. Why not just have those who believe in forking money over to those who don't support themselves and their dependents donate whatever they want to that cause?

Sure, that's civilized.
Brilliant.
