Will Democrats ever win the white vote back?
When things get so bad that the whites will even listen to what the true socialist have to say. 100 years ago Eugene Debs was consistently getting 900,000 votes and he was a true Socialist, not some label that Fox put on any Democrat that wants more money from the corporations. During one of the elections Debs got 900,000 votes from his jail cell. He was put in jail for not supporting the American war effort in WW 1. He said war is just workers killing workers.
You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. Assimilation means speaking English in pubic. Doesn't matter who's involved in the conversation either. Whisper then if you want to babble in a foreign tongue. I don't care to listen to it and you can't avoid it! Many of those refusing to speak English in public ARE Americans.
I've already explained in my post why for the most part learning a foreign language isn't beneficial. You didn't even address my comments about that. Being bi-lingual is not contributing to balkanization but refusing to speak English in public is. Drama queen? lol! I'm a male.

If I want to speak to my mom who is on vacation from Greece, in Greek, then I can do so in public. It's more comfortable for her to speak to me in Greek and just natural. You can choose to not listen to us when you walk by us in the grocery store. Is it that hard for you to do?

That was a question you threw at the other Asian in this thread... not me. btw... This Asian's ancestral home in many ways has more in common with Spanish countries (Mexico included) than other Asian countries. Even our language share commonality with Spanish... as well as our culture.

Again, the way for the GOP to have a political future is to stop demonizing immigrants and drop the fearmongering and compete with the Democrats for the votes of new Americans. You used to have their vote, but threw it away.
Only thing I agree with you is YES, you're on the wrong side demographically. Restricting immigration isn't gonna help your nativist self because the later generations will reproduce. And heck, who knows - maybe one of your grandchildren either has or will marry a Latino! LOL.
The most important thing is for Republicans to challenge the Democrats' use of identity politics. They are racist and segregationist to the core. The liberal message is that blacks and Hispanics should identify first and foremost with their race, that they are and should be separate from mainstream America, with separate racial interests, adn that only the Democrats can address these racial interests. They don't want the mentality where we are all one American people, they want to push the idea that we are different competing peoples sharing one land, like Bosnia, Lebanon, Northern Ireland, or South Africa. The Democrats for example believe a certain proportion of people in Congress MUST be black or Hispanic, etc, that only a black Democrat can appropriately represent a black constituent, that blacks must always vote for blacks based on race, even though this certainly isn't true and a black official can represent a majority non black district very well and many white conservative voters have voted for non-white candidates like Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley and Ted Cruz and Tim Scott.
Democrats and the left seem to love the idea of different immigrant groups maintaning separate cultures and ethnic identities rather than assimilate into American culture and identify simply as American. I'm a minority who is a conservative Republican and its always only been minority Democrats and white liberals who have questioned why I have the beliefs I do. In my mostly white, conservative Southern community, anyone with common sense regardless of color would be a Trump supporter.
Democrats are arguing that minorities should identify with their minority group first and as Americans second? I don't think that is true at all.
Nope, not so far. In fact my kids are already married to white Americans and that makes their kids white also. They aren't contributing to this so-called "browning of America" much to the chagrin of those salivating over a browner America whatever the hell that means.
Let me help you here - if your party wants to have a political future, you'd better find out why you've thrown away the Latino vote (who used to vote up to 44% as recently as 2004) and the Asian vote (Bush Sr got a majority of us back in 1992), and find a way to get some of us back.
But if you want to keep burying your head in the sand and not address that, that's not my problem.
Based on many Republicans that I know, they will continue to bury their heads in the sand. They honestly believe that they lose the minority vote across virtually all ethniticities and socioeconomic levels by generally massive margins merely because those minorities are deluded and cannot think for themselves or because they all just want freebies. Not because there is anything wrong with the GOP. They will never face that.

Since when do Asians have anything in common with Spanish countries, Latinos and how did Mexico owning Calif. 150 years ago make Calif. a home for Asians? The U.S. did that, not Mexico! How did Mexico owning Calif. 150 years ago make any Asians what they are today or even a part of them? Since when do many or most Asians speak Spanish? You're twisting and spinning just as much as he is. I thought I could get an honest answer out of you but I guess not! You and he are nothing like the polite, mild mannered and honest Asians that I know. They abhor illegal immigration and have no adoration for Latinos, their culture or language. They can't even begin to relate to it. They are of an entirely different culture of peoples.
