Yes. But it has to be convenient. I personally don't care for the price as much as I do for convenience. I fly all the time, but there's a balance between distance and going to the airport.

If I have to rent a car at my destination, it negates the reason for taking the train. I may as well drive.

Yes, in a heartbeat but not in Texas.

It would all depend upon the price of a ticket, where the stations are and how long the trip is.

4 hours on a train, rather than driving an hour to the airport, then waiting another hour to board then fly an hour and a half? Yes I would do it.

Would I drive 3 hours to get to a train station? Hell no.

For me it's about convenience. With high speed rail, I can get from Dallas to Houston in under 90 minutes. It would be 3.5 hours to drive. At my destination, I could have car service waiting.

Yes, as long as there's no tsa-style garbage like Florida's brightline is doing. I hope that one fails and soon!

I prefer high speed to flying... waste so much time getting to the airport 2 hours early, followed by another 1 hour to get out of the plane and airport... that's in addition to the actual flying time. I love my car, but when it's too far too drive or too much of a hassle to park, high speed rail is great.
