If dems were really concerned about the rule of law, they would demand that Biden and Obama be investigated. That is where the actual crime occurred. What the dems have done is essentially trying someone who reported a bank robbery, rather than focusing on the bank robbers.
Yes its always good to have some fact when you start a thread rather than just ranting.

That is not evidence of a crime, it does not even imply a crime.
Hunter Biden was never under investigation, there was no reason to make any attempt to protect him and there was no effort to protect him from anything. Those are the facts.
What you have are rumors, which in themselves are not justification for the US government to investigate Hunter Biden. There was nothing Biden was doing which warranted suspicion, and the rumors were planted.

For Trump, it was never a real goal to investigate the Biden's in Ukraine, it has been confirmed under sworn testimony that the actual goal was only to have a public announcement of an investigation. Under Ukrainian law there was no basis to launch an investigation and Trump knew that. There was no seeking justice in this. The real goal was to scandalize a political opponent, so that Trump could talk it up on the campaign trail. It didn't have to be a real scandal, just a plausible excuse for one.
Congress learns about the aid to Ukraine being held up, begins investigations and asks questions
Separately, whistleblower makes a report, which is diverted to the white house held up for weeks illegally.
Separately, temporary Ambassador to Ukraine is directly questioning whether we are really holding up the aid to get the announcement of an investigation into a political rival of Trump's. (Sondland, a Trump megadonor, later publicly confirms this under oath, contrary to white house denials).
White house (Trump) realizes the gig is up, they've been outed, and releases the aid, backtracking to save their skins.
Trump foolishly releases a redacted memo of the phone call which confirms the information in the whistleblower account.
You can't pay someone to 'make up' a report that turns out to be true, the Truth of the crime is no less true regardless of how we discover it anyway.
