The Democrat's centerpiece message is, Illegal Aliens, Blacks, Gays and SOME women are more important than anyone else, including productive, legal, U.S. CITIZENS.
It needs to be a felony as it would discourage more from coming here. Right now it's only a felony if you enter our country illegally more than once. Who's dehumanizing them?
I would respectfully disagree with the upping to a felony. You’d probably have more luck with making it a mandate for corporations to use E-verify to reduce the risk of hiring illegal aliens for low cost/free labor.
I would say that some of the general population is dehumanizing them. Now obviously some of them are career criminals but I reject the idea of painting them all as people who are simply trying to see how much they can get away with. Frankly there are some AMERICANS who don’t need to have their asses in this country either (e.g. serial rapists, murderers, etc). It be nice to start exiling some of them.
This again? There is no proof that Trump knowingly had any illegals working on his properties. Do you actually think that he personally hired carpenters, plumbers, etc? Construction companies hire their own help and it's on them to make sure that their workers are legitimate.

Why shouldn't it be a felony? And yes it would be a discouragement to illegal immigration. Talk to the Democrats about e-verify they refuse to make it the law of the land unless there is an amnesty attached to it. They have voted down every e-verify bill that the GOP has tried to pass.
So what if "some" are painting them all as career criminals. Why worry about what a minority of the population think? The fact is though that most of them are either committing felony ID theft or tax evasion to work here. That's not criminal?
Sorry, but we can't deport our own citizens. That's why we have a criminal justice system to deal with them.

It is well established that the illegal aliens make a substantial contribution to the US and its economy. Close to 100 billion in the dairy industry alone according to a spokesman for the industry.
Most of the incoming are coming through the airports. The concentration on the wall simply shows the bias of the right wing. The majority of the illegals are not criminal. They can be deported but not sent to jail.
Solutions lie in legalization for most until the problem is reduced in size to something that can be dealt with by the resource we are willing to commit to that task. Use legalization rather than amnesty for most to avoid questions about voting and citizenship for a decade or so.
Compromise is required but the right is unwilling. So no solution and we continue the problem with the likelihood it will get much worse one of these years.
Fascinating in a way. You would think conservative Catholics would naturally head to the right. But the right keeps fighting them off...
The proper terms would be “illegal aliens” or “undocumented aliens”
Illegal alien is the only proper term for them. That's what they are called in our immigration law lingo. No such thing as an undocumented they have all kinds of documents all fake or stolen. Undocumented is just a made up term by the PC crowd to soften what they really are.
