I grew up in Alaska... I have family and friends in Texas... many of them work in the energy sector and are very happy with their jobs and benefits. I also lived in San Francisco and Seattle and have friends who work in tech who LOVE their jobs.

I don't understand, Democrats used to hate Walmart because of low pay, now they hate tech because of high pay.

No one hates tech BECAUSE of high pay. Where are you getting that from? Do you have a source that people have issues with tech's high pay?

LOL, you haven't lived in the Bay Area I take it... people protest against tech workers and companies. They blame them for the reason why rent and real estate is so expensive. It's the main reason AOC protested Amazon coming to NY. They say all those high paying jobs increases the cost of living for the poor working class.

AOC protested Amazon coming to NYC because of the free handouts associated with it. NYC is already a high pay area and Amazon coming there wasn't going to change anything.

I was in SV for 6 years working in tech and I now own property there (but don't live there anymore). I've never seen anyone complain that tech companies pay too much. Do you have anything to show people are complaining that the pay is too high at tech companies or are you making this up?

It was all over local news channels for a long time. I'm sure you can find plenty of protests and videos on youtube.

Yes, especially San Francisco, where people blame the tech workers for their soaring rents, you can even go to the SF Bay Area forum here on CD and ask do locals think tech workers are one of the big reasons why rents and real estate are so expensive, etc
