I was under the impression that he repeated himself over and over again because he wants to make his lies seem true to his followers. In either case not a very good look!

Trump subscribes to the theory of, if you tell a lie often enough and loud enough, it will become the truth. Sadly, a lot of his followers fall for that, hook, line, and sinker.

He has their number bigly.

Let me correct that for you: "No collusion, no collusion" is still believed bigly by the Trumpers.

Actually it was Trump who utilized the term "collusion" ad nauseum. (Talk about bigly and hook line and sinker!) You know, in an attempt to muddy the minds and confuse the faithful due to the damning series of facts about his campaign’s connections to the Kremlin. " No collusion, no collusion" POTUS said as if he was a recording.

As the Mueller Report took pains to point out, “collusion†has no legal definition. So the report did not make a determination on “collusion†— and in fact, it strongly suggests that there was an attempt to collude by Trump’s campaign and agents of the Russian government.

Refresher of facts for those who bigly fell for the mud:

* Paul Manafort and Manafort’s deputy Rick Gates, were regularly providing polling information to a Russian national whom Gates testified is a “spy.â€

* After Trump publicly called on Russia to find Hillary Clinton’s emails, he privately ordered future
National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to find them. Flynn reached out to a man named Peter Smith who told a number of people that he was in contact with Russian agents.

* Trump foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos attempted to arrange meetings between Trump and Putin, and that Trump personally approved Papadopoulos’s work on this front.

* Donald Trump Jr. arranged a meeting with the express purpose of obtaining Russian “dirt†on Clinton

Etc etc etc...but you can see the picture.

So when Mueller concluded that he “did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign committed the crime of conspiracy with the Russian government in its election interference activities,†he is not saying that there is no evidence of “collusion†at all, in any sense. That is Trump's mud and mantra. Intentional, IMHO. You know, Goebbels and Lenin style repetition.

Damning picture for the campaign. The fact that his collusion did not rise to the provable level of criminal activity does not mean it was not a serious breach of trust and an indictment of Trump's approach to our government and our American legal and political systems.

So he has either fallen for his own lies as he tries to convince his followers they are true or he just thinks those followers are easy marks or he is still trying to convince himself that he's not corrupt to the core. In any event he is in deep yogurt as he once again, and this time in full view, asked another foreign government to help him gain dirt on a political opponent. You know, placed his own political performance over our national sovereignty. Naughty, naughty, Mr. Trump. You better keep repeating that mantra for yourself. I do believe the faithful may be less so, these days. Folks are on to you and those who spin for you.

Even the muller report clearly stated it was used "frequently."....

It was also used in his report 23 times.

Here is a good little article on how the word collusion came about in what we are speaking of.

Oh please, he has been circling the toilet bowl for over 3 years...and he is still your president. You've run out of "we got him now" talking points....to the point that nancy won't even turn over the articles of impeach, for now anyway, and as many of the dems bleated in the house clearly stated, it was for national security....screw it .....CHRISTMAS break...we'll deal with it next year....

They announced ahead of time that he was guilty and would be impeached, then they gathered up 2nd & 3rd hand witnesses who offered opinion and supposition rather than facts, wouldn't allow transcripts not favorable to the narrative be released, wouldn't allow the Republicans to call witnesses, and then took a pre-determined vote. Now they are all about fairness and transparency? It is a little late for them to be concerned with proper process.

I would add that given they have already said their proof is undeniable and overwhelming, why in the world would they need more witnesses?
Do you consider Sondland, Trump's million dollar donor who bought his Ambassadorship a 2nd and 3rd hand witness when he was Trump's right hand man in Ukraine? Why was he in Ukraine when he was appointed to the EU? His testimony that there was a quid pro quo is what? Fake news? Read his opening statement when he testified, against Trump's orders, in Congress.

As for Pelosi being a genius? Hard to say. She's way past her prime as are most of the fossils that should have retired a long time ago on both side of the isle. Nobody is at their prime late in life, that's just the way nature works. That being said she does a good job of keeping her caucus in line.

As for the Impeachment not being fair? Look, does any criminal about to be indicted get to bring in a lawyer to the closed door fact finding for probable cause? No, of course not. That would be ridiculous. Trump was invited to send his attorney's to the procedure at one point but declined. Trump's witnesses were the Biden's? Really? Why? They have nothing to offer as to Trump's phone call with Zelensky. If Trump was so concerned with Congressional approval of aid even after Ukraine met their standards why didn't he go through the proper channels? It is illegal to bypass Congress and put in a toxic termite circumventing the the professionals in the OMB to stop the aid because Trump wanted "a favor though."

Trump trying to call the Biden's was a strategic move to deflect from the indefensible. Not one Republican Congressmen brought forth anything but procedural complaints and cry baby unfair rhetoric to the hearings. There was nothing but table pounding angry retorts. Typical feckless behavior too many people have come to view as normal.

Pelosi is doing what we the people elected her to do. Put a check on a corrupt president. Like it or not, Trump is impeached because of Trump's behavior. Nothing more.

As for calling more witnesses? You have to understand the process. Think of Congress as the grand jury looking for probable cause. Are people tried in the grand jury? No, of course not. They are tried in court using the material gathered. Think of the Senate as the court. Witnesses should be called for both sides. Documents should be available for both sides. Anything less, like Moscow Mitch proposes is not a trial, but a sham acquittal. Pelosi is doing what she has to do so that minority leader Schumer has a chance to negotiate a fair trial in the Senate. It's what we the people expect. McConnell? Not so much.

Nancy wakes up every morning and looks in the mirror. That's enough punishment for any human being.
