My small medical group offered MRI about 10-15 years ago. At that time our rural town of 50K had more MRI machines than all of Manitoba!

I asked where you got the statistic that one unnamed US city has more MRI machines than all of Canada. And this is the answer..

Well, we do have three times as many MRI machines per capita as Canada. And despite that, the average bill here is there times as much for an MRI as it is there. We allegedly have great private health care and they have evil "Socialized medicine." They also live longer than we do, with that system they have.

The answer is obvious: cut the enormous inefficiencies of the bloated muti-player system down here and replace with something shown to work up there and in the other Western economics. Better care and better outcomes for less $$.
