... you will be fined $1,000. If a drought is declared, $10,000 will be the fine.

Now enforced in 2020.

Hahahaha.....I just moved out of Ca. after 59 years, born and raised. What a nightmare it has become. It started decades ago. I feel bad for those of other states that have whacked out California libs moving to theirs.

At the moment, it seems they actually don't have a way to track or enforce this. First, currently there is no way to separate inside/outside water usage. Secondly, no way to track how many are in a household. The second can be handled "easily" enough with a survey, but how will they know if it is accurate or not. Of course, water companies will have to update their software, not a insignificant cost.

Seems like an awful, short-sighted law, but California is known for that. The solutions for this will undoubtedly be expensive and intrusive.

cd :O)

I know CA does some stupid things but is this actually real ? I thought the average water usage per person , per day is around 80-90 gallons. That includes showers, toilet, etc. 55 gallons seems a bit drastic.

Perhaps they’ll take an average for a month. The whole idea is looney.

This is the type of Totalitarian, Tyrannical control the Democrats want for the entire country. It is the Progressive way.

I hear you... I hate those types of videos. And they repeat a couple of statements at the end - which is also stupid and unnecessary.

But I needed the content - so i went with it.
