I do as well. Sadly, those in this country that are irrationally determined to harm America would far rather see US servicemen and ambassadors slaughtered. Then they could point and say Trump did no better than Obama. Intead, a POS terrorist that killed Americans has assumed room temperature (granted THAT may have taken a couple of days) and they are all upset.
Some in this country hate Trump, Republicans, and our nation’s military more than our nation’s enemies.
Tha fact that you don't see "it was released back to them...as part of the nuclear deal...'. is staggering. Nothing to see here move along...
Except Obama gave it to them and a nuclear bomb in 10 years....
Nothing staggering about it. How are you going to make a deal unless you at least give up something in return? That is how diplomacy has always worked! The nuclear deal gave Iran a powerful incentive to curtail it's nuclear program peacefully through integration in the global economy. Most of the world supports the deal. It was working until we pulled out. The only way to permanenty ensure Iran does not build a bomb other than through diplomacy is through a massive ground invasion and occupation. Of a country consisting of mountains, deserts, etc with triple land area and triple the population of Iraq...a population that is very nationalistic and religiously motivated. A huge percentage of them are combat veterans due to the bloody Iran-Uraq war if the eighties. And do we even have a regional ally that is willing and large enough to serve as a staging area for a massive miliitary ground invasion? Are you starting to see the practical limitations of a non diplomatic approach? It won't be as simply as just sending a few planes over or even taking Tehran. Defeatingvthe Iranian army in regular conventional warfare won't be the main issue, winning the inevitable and never ending massive guerilla war will be. We would have to occupy the whole country and maintain that operation. How did our experience with fighting the locals go in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq? About as well as the British experience fighting us on our home turf went? Or the French in Vietnam and Algeria, Soviets and British in Afghanistan, etc.
What do you want to do....just nuke them preemptively now and get it over with? That is the only thing other than diplomacy and integrating the Iranian people into the world economy and causing them to challenge to hard core types...a process that until this past week was occuring in Iran by the way...there was a large protest movement there that has now been silenced by a wave of nationalist fervor
But, you righties have got us...the only reason we think this may have been a bad move is we can't get over Hillary losing and we really, really love us some middle eastern terrorists. After all, those middle eastern terrorist s are all ardent warriors for gay marriage, gay civil rights, civil rights for all, religious freedoms for all religious persuasions and not just our own, concern for the environment ...especially global over-reliance on oil and other fossil fuels...you know, all of the basic essences of the essences of the liberal world view. In terms of our wordview us and them are practically twins!
And the US is currently planning attacks on Iran and Iranian generals. So I guess they have the right to attack us on our soil right? Our president is an IDIOT!
The same troops who are foreign occupiers? They have a right to attack US troops. The US troops should stay in the US and not occupying foreign nations. And how would killing one man stop these so called plans to attack US troops. The next general in line will just do the same thing.
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-i...Gl_oNWqe2vkceo Well there you go. He was planning attacks on our service men and ambassadors. I guess we should have sat on our hands and knees and let our troops be killed? Or we do everything possible to protect our serviceman? I think Trump made the right choice.
He was planning to attack just our military, not Iraqis. Still doesn't explain why we went this way on our own.

You do realize that we don't have any troops in Iran, right? They are attacking US troops in a neighboring country that THEY are occupying. One that is an ally of ours. Iran has already committed an act of war by attacking our embassy. Trump has shown a great deal of restraint, perhaps too much.
Now-I would much prefer to see our servicemen and women brought home. It's not worth one American life to keep Middle Eastern Muslims from killing each other. Sounds like that's something you'd support as well.
