It is amazing how this hate crime could have prevented if the police would have pulled him over based on his Michigan license plates being in West Virginia.

Well it sounds like it might be time for the folks in West Virginia to move to North Dakota.

That article was a hit piece on the bar if anything. Victim shaming?

Where did it state it was a hate crime?

And like how they dove into blaming the bar and the bars around the area for this.

Why else would he come from Detroit to an overwhelmingly European American small city in West Virginia?

The mayor of Huntington, WV is an ultra-liberal Democrat in an overwhelmingly patriotic Republican state that voted for President Trump.

Amazing, how Democratic cities whether large or small have zero common sense.

One would think the police would pull over those with Michigan license plates from Detroit because why are they in a small town in West Virginia.

I would venture to guess if it were a very conservative town in Wyoming or a small city in Western Nebraska under the same circumstances the cops would be looking for any and all reasons to pull them over

Really disappointing that in a sensible state like WV, there wasn't anyone to put him down, like in the Texas church. I wonder of that has anything to do with the fact that this took place in a Hookah bar. Wonder if the victims were all hipsters living in mom's basement?

The article did not say, all it said was the motive, which so far was "personal dispute". No evidence provided so far past that.

People travel, go places, do things.

I'm pretty sure that it's not against the law for a car with Michigan license plates to be driven on West Virginia's roads. I'm also pretty sure that the gunman could have found plenty of targets right there in the Motor City, without the inconvenience of a long car trip, if his purpose was merely to shoot someone at random. In other words, I am assuming that the hookah bar, and/or someone patronizing it, was the specific intended target.

Did you not even read the article you posted? It happened due to a dispute between people. He didn't go there just to shoot for the hell of it.
