Oh, please. Malia’s 21st birthday alone was a Twitter storm, including from members of Congress. Her 16th birthday, which occurred while daddy was still in office, resulted in a multitude of news stories, Facebook posts, and various social media well wishes, to include from members of Congress - of both parties. In other words, the social media posts by Democratic members of Congress with birthday cards/well wishes for Sasha and Malia were all over the place. You had to try to miss them.
If true, it was sycophantic butt-kissing at that time, too. I don't remember seeing or hearing about it then, however and I was not "trying to miss them". Did any of those pols create a website with an electronic "birthday card" and ask their followers to "sign it"?
At least 16 and 21 are milestone birthdays and someone could attempt to justify their actions with that reasoning.
