I'm not sure how much credit I'd give Trump for this. He signed on to a bipartisan bill from congress that was a no-brainer. I've never even heard Trump mention the unfair sentences handed out to non-violent offenders, though supposedly it was an issue that his son-in-law Jared Kushner cared about. Maybe we should give Jared the credit.

Kim and Kanye were the ones who first pressed the issue on him. He didn't care one way or another, but there was a steady build up to the bill.
