President Donald Trump rang up LSU coach Ed Orgeron after the team’s Peach Bowl victory over Oklahoma.
“They told me the president's office called, and I thought it was the president of the university,” Orgeron said when he was told of the incoming call. “He said, no, the White House. I said, OK, here we go.”
Get ready for the death threats and hate mail from "tolerant" leftists
Yeah, look at all of my fellow atypical liberals who have come in and damned Coach Ed. Personally, I hope he gets another congratulatory phone call from President Trump after next Monday's game! Son of a former Gamecock player back in the 50s. (One season before going into the Army)
It is really sad that there is any question about answering a call from the President or accepting an invite to the White House. Those that opt out due to "politics" are fools but of course the fall out from "their" fellow Lefties can be devastating. Who can forget the apologies that Ellen Degeneres had to make for sitting next to and daring to have a civil talk with George Bush. Ridiculous.
If Trump, Obama or even Hillary called me up or invited me to dinner guess what I would chat or go to meet them.
It is pretty petty to put politics before a chance to talk or meet with a sitting President but then again the fallout from the party of diversity and tolerance could be huge to the point of destroying ones life and career.
the debauched and despicable thing about this is that in our current culture, this IS a controversial thing.
how utterly disgusting.
There is no end to the bigotry of the left.
