DJT broke the law by not consulting with the House before this latest strike, so this is a reasonable response. Good luck getting it through the Senate though. BTW, Obama set the precedent for not notifying Congress in a time frame required by the War Powers Act. At some point Congress needs to reel that in. Not sure when that will happen though, given the current divisions.

The Dems are really going out on a limb here. They are so weak with their fear mongering leading up the election that Trump is going to crash the economy and then destroy the world in a nuclear war with (fill in the blank).

Someday the Democrats will be back in the White House and it would be such karma if their puppet was denounced and trashed at every turn like Trump has been.

The reason that Trump did not go to the Dems is because he wanted to have a successful strike against Salami and he didn't want the attack "leaked" which it no doubt would have been. Who are the real traitors here?

The authorization that allows the president to take military action in Iraq should have been rescinded before Bush left office.

I look forward to seeing what a real expert on Iraq, Ms. Slotkin, has to say about everything.

He was not legally required to consult the House before the strike.

Exactly! And with Dems referring to Trump as a villain and the Islamic terrorist as a "revered general," they would have thought (in their deranged minds) that they were doing the right thing to warn Iran. This is what comes when progressives take their love affair with Muslims to the extreme.

No he didn't. He breaks the law if he continues hostility after 30 days without consulting with Congress. You need to learn up on just how much power the US has installed in that one particular office to wage war whenever the hell they please.

Ask Obama and his 500+ drone strike record about whether the POTUS needs to get Congress to give permission before dirt napping anyone they want. FFS, Trump needs to go on a killing spree just to catch up to Emperor Barack I on body count.
