Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calls for a thorough investigation of the accident, and vowed his government would get answers!

And he tried so hard to to look manly I thought his eyebrows were going to fall off!

The thing about this issue, is that nobody will be held responsible. What did the US do for Iran when an American ship accidently shot out Iran Air in 1988?

How about when pro-Russian militias in Ukraine shot down Malaysian Airlines Flight 17, and the investigation was messed up by Putin?

Ukrainian airplane shot down by mistake by Iranian anti-aircraft missile, Pentagon officials believe
Seems like the most obvious explanation. They thought 'muricans' were coming and panicked.

that's about as likely as a bullet hitting a bullet by accident. Those missiles Iran fired were surface to surface with geo-targeting.

its vastly more likely they armed their anti aircraft system and it mistakenly fired on the wrong thing.

A settlement was reached in 1996 with the United States publicly expressing “deep regrets” for accidentally shooting down Iran Air Flight 655, and paid $61.8 million to the victims’ families.
