Compared with other presidencies in the past, party preference in the Trump Era has remained virtually unchanged, with 47% favoring the Democrats and 42% favoring the Republicans.

This probably should have been expected, because Trump has played almost exclusively to his base rather than playing to the middle after being elected like most of his predecessors.

Both parties are owned by corporate interests.

The US needs a different system NOW.

Start with a gerrymandering ban, non partisan ballots and a paid lobbying ban by constitutional amendment. Yes I know it will not happen.
