This is what's known as a "loophole" in the law, and needs to be closed, and PRONTO.
We all have agreed that guns need to be controlled with such means as bans and background checks. You should not be able to do an end run around that!!
Nip this in the bud!
The 9th Amendment will not allow that!!!!
People have been making their own weapons, since the "Club" was invented.
It is a natural right.

"We all" have done no such thing. I never agreed to gun control or any other tyranny that in anyway restricts private property rights, which are absolute.

For 244 years Americans have not been prohibited from making their own firearms. Nor does the Federal Government have any jurisdiction in trying to do so. It can regulate firearms that have been transported under Interstate Commerce (since this provides jurisdiction). It cannot prohibit the manufacture of them from common materials however, that's under the jurisdiction of the State/County/Municipality.

Plus, just about any machine or fabrication shop will custom make any piece that a customer requests, I could give them blueprints for min gun 'lower' and ask them to machine it for me (without telling them what it actually is), they will machine/fabricate the part to the specs I provide and I will then have a mini gun lower!!
The purpose of this thread is for a future reference (link) to show people angrily screaming for more gun control, especially back ground checks, that they are a waste of money, time and effort. Why is anyone free that can't pass one?
