In some ways though, it is their continued support for the current scandalous leadership of the party which is contributing toward the religious decline.

The party is also closely associated with a lot of special interests which are falling out of favor, most of which are money-making schemes, (not community building or people helping interests). Last but not least of course the party is closely tied to the wealthy class and international corporate interests, which explains the outsized tax cuts for the very wealthy. These are huge negatives.

The party has already done an examination of the ethnic trends in the USA and the potential impact on the party, and their conclusions are just as valid today as they were in 2013. White native born Americans tend to contracept and abort so avidly (even among so-called 'religious' people) as to cap their population growth. Ethnic and religious minorities are less inclined to use birth control or kill their own offspring, so by percentage their numbers will continue to rise even if the total population should remain stable. By failing to appeal to these communities the party is driving away many natural socially and fiscally conservative supporters.
Oldest daughter (and son-in-law, to a slightly lesser degree), is the proverbial "Alex P. Keaton" (Google him if you're too young to be familiar). Young Republicans, go-getters, money making business owners, and extremely non-religious (DD is a pretty outspoken atheist). Own a huge house, have a son in private school, and are the picture of hard working success...and don't want the government trying to take any of it away from them to give to anyone else. They have no social justice or charitable interests, but do believe in pro-choice and that marriage should be between two consenting adults. In other words, live and let live, but don't tell them how to live, put restrictions on them, or expect anything from them.

I think this may be the future of the young Republican party.

Did Impeached Trump slur his words and mispronounce words in front of his "massive" fans?

Hopefully.

The progressive far left has completely different plans. I'm afraid in a few more election cycles will have a progressive in office and they will march the country in ways that they will have more and more control over peoples lives, what cars they drive, what homes they can live in, what words you can or can't use etc etc. This sounds sorta Orwellian when you stand back and look at it, but I think it's coming down the pike. Not now, but in my lifetime.

Here is the crack in the oft repeated - going on 10 or 12 years now - demographic meme. It banks on voting trends to remain static. Remember the great, unscalable, inviolate blue wall? Never, ever bank on the tomorrows. It is the now that counts.

Macbeth, via the bard's pen, tells it best.

Did not watch, but it was reported that he stated at the rally Solemeini planned to blow up the US Embassy.

A number of Congress members and senators on both sides of the aisle have stated that this was never even mentioned in the "classified briefing" so why is Trump lying to his crowd? Because they will believe anything bellowed out of his mouth?

What "progressives" want is a better safety net, essentially, for hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding US citizens.

But, let's go along with your idea of what's coming down the pike. If this is what you think the Dems want, do you have an example of where this dystopia currently exists?

Canada?
Australia?
UK?
Germany?
France?
New Zealand?

Btw, in 1984, Orwell condemns totalitarian governments, both left and right. But he was a strong, outspoken supporter of social democracy, or, according to some biographers, democratic socialism. Some people on the right seem to forget this.

Now that's funny.

Hate overweight people much? That’s a long list to hate. Including many reading this from both sides. Well done.

Why is it so unfortunate? Many of us could say the same about Clinton or Obama or worst Bernie, the old man that hardly knows what the country really wants of needs. What is sad are people who think everyone should think like they do. Wouldn't you agree?

They support a dream, not a reality.

They support what they WANT to believe is real, not the real Trump, he's actually not important. Results aren't important, faults aren't important. They support their own fantasies and their make believe image of Trump represents those dreams.

So yes, it is a lot like 'reality' Tv (it's anything but reality), or professional 'wrestling'. It is what they want it to be and they make it fit.

hahaha

Like your fantasy that you believe you know what 10s of millions of others are thinking including the 10s of 1000s at this rally? You believe it's actually real.

You just told us your make believe world. It doesn't exist of course but fascinating that you are completely unaware of it. In essence you are nothing more than a data point, in your own hypothesis.

Time to take that Red Pill.
