Here is the crack in the oft repeated - going on 10 or 12 years now - demographic meme. It banks on voting trends to remain static. Remember the great, unscalable, inviolate blue wall? Never, ever bank on the tomorrows. It is the now that counts.

But pray tell, what is Trump doing to expand his base? Absolutely nothing.
Why is it so unfortunate? Many of us could say the same about Clinton or Obama or worst Bernie, the old man that hardly knows what the country really wants of needs. What is sad are people who think everyone should think like they do. Wouldn't you agree?

Trump surrounds himself with yes men. What is sad are people who think everyone should do exactly what he wants just to appease his overinflated ego. He lies over and over about the same thing until his supporters believe only him.
I went to one in a prior state. The people who attended hit the extremes. Some teenagers were inside holding a bible and pointing it out to us (they were trying to intimidate people); a woman who obviously had a bowel movement while driving, had it all over the back of her jean skirt; well-off people went it. Many inside the center had confederate flags.
The crowd outside was fine but those going in were in our faces.
I also know these events are "orchestrated". Omarosa had a huge write-up on how section leaders rile up the crowd, applaud to get the enablers ranting chants, and if the section leaders screw up, the despot comes down on them.
It's a b.*#2*s fantasy world full of lie after lie after lie.
What are the Democrats doing to expand their base?

I don't think our base
needs to be expanded much. Democrats (against all odds - ask Putin) won the popular vote by 3M.
If Putin hadn't been involved, if "republicans" hadn't suppressed the vote (it was horrid in GA - Kemp
and Abrams should've won, Dodge, KA with its slimeball suppression and, of course, NC where they
literally lied and cheated their way in a massively-gerrymandered state. Then there are still two counties
in FL that were hacked and the republican governor kept that from the public for months and we still
don't know what happened.
Yes, we need the hispanic vote and due to the swing of ideologies of candidates we could use young
folks out there.
We won't get them, however, with massive brainwashing via Fox, Sinclair (local stations bought out a couple years ago that stretches across the country), and RT. With those stations allowing constant lying, that's the biggest concern (besides Putin, China, Netanyahu and Kimmy).

Then why the hell do people in Ohio love Trump so damned much? Do they simply love to be told by Trump what they want to hear, whether lies or not, and what little to nothing that results doesn't matter?
No. Notice how the cameras never pan out after he starts speaking? That's because they were really just waiting on line for their vouchers for their free big screen tv then left! Probably made them sign an NDA also!

1/2 the Jewish side of my family are now Trump Voters. We all voted Democrat as recently as Bill Clinton. After it was seen by all that Obama empowered White and Jewish hating bigots, it made the switch pretty easy!
As soon as it benefits him politically he'll throw Israel to the wolves just as quickly as he did the Kurds!
