So yes, it is a lot like 'reality' Tv (it's anything but reality), or professional 'wrestling'. It is what they want it to be and they make it fit.
Sounds a whole lot like what was said about Obama, the fact he avoided voting on bills of consequence ("present"), in effect like Trump he came in a "blank slate" with no record to look back upon. I recall left-leaning journalists writing about voters projecting their views/dreams/desires upon him, since he was in effect an empty vessel.

No. Anti-trump people are smart enough to take politics seriously and don't treat it like a pep rally at a college football game.

<crickets>

Those crowds speak for themselves. And in that, you've got nothing.

Pushing for open borders, voting rights for illegal invaders, felons voting from their cells, and more giveaways to the free chit army. It is proving to be an effective strategy (see: Virginia)

Edited to add: and ballot harvesting, just keep bringing in boxes of fraudulent (D) ballots until the (D) is ahead, then claim victory.

Here we go again. Another black and white statement by a trumper without enough sense to realize it's not an either or choice. Typical.

How many at tonight's rally were "Trumpheads," who come from various states time after time to attend his rallies? It's easy to pack an arena in Ohio, if you're sure that your fans will come from Montana, Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia, to attend a rally they've attended many times before? You know, like Deadheads, who have attended the same concert many times before.

The real question is this: how many attendees tonight were native Ohioans, who were at a Trump rally for the first time? And of that number, how many were simply curious yet remain undecided, or those who simply wanted the chance to see the President--any President--speak live?

Those are the questions that need to be addressed. Not how many seats in the venue are full, but the number of people who have never attended a Trump rally before, and who are there because they really like Trump and his message. Repeat attendees--Trumpheads, like Deadheads--need not be counted.
Funny story. I was at a friends house and met his younger brother for the first time. The subject of the rabid nature of Dead fans came up and he admitted he was a big fan but not as rabid as most. I innocently asked him how many of their shows he attended thinking maybe 10 , even 20 would be close. He replied 70 to 80 shows! I sprayed my mouthful of beer everywhere!

Weren't you just complaining about frat house behavior by Trump voters? Irrelevant to the topic at hand BTW.

(and they wonder why nobody listens to them)

LET'S DO A LITLE QUICK FACT CHECKING ON JUST A FEW OF HIS RALLY STATEMENTS REGARDING OHIO LAST NIGHT. WE'LL LEAVE THE REPETITIVE LIES REGARDING THE UNITED STATES AND OUR SECURITY AND ALL OF THE THINLY VEILED INNUENDO NAME CALLING AND PERSONAL GRIEVANCES OUT AS THEY WERE THE USUAL LITANY...BELIEVE ME

Trump: "Ohio just had the best year economically in the history of your state.”

Fact: Both job growth and wages in Ohio have lagged the nation. Ohio's unemployment rate has been higher than the national average for several years. According to statistics this was not Ohio's best year. It is among the 10 states with the highest unemployment in the country. The state lost 4,400 jobs last year through November and shed 2,200 manufacturing jobs over the previous year.

Trump: "We brought a lot of car companies into Ohio, you know that."

Fact: Trump isn't bringing new automakers into Ohio. No new car companies. Some pre-existing car companies have "promised" to add some jobs.

Trump: "The steel industry was dead and now its vibrant".

Fact: He cited a few success stories but overall the news for Ohio steelmakers has not been good. Several plants have closed and more are slated for closure.

Trump
: In yet another one of those why lie about this lies: Trump said that his supporters were waiting in sub zero temperatures outside the Huntington Center in Toledo Ohio for hours and days.

Fact: Truth be told it was 46 degrees and some people were seen in shorts.

At one point, he said that he was viewed more positively than Abraham Lincoln.

I repeat: Just another bombastic bazaar where truth took a beating! Ohioans deserve better!
America deserves better!
I commend you for all this work that will fall on deaf ears and closed minds!

I don't dispute this, I saw the same thing at the time with Obama, except now with Trump it is a lot worse.

There is a human need to find a savior, some larger than life figure they feel they can believe in and they pack all of their hopes and dreams into it. Political figures often become that blank slate. Cognitive dissonance is huge with the Trump following, due to his many faults and failings. To protect themselves people dig in deeper and tune out the bad news as much as possible.

It's a bit worse with the Trump crowd but it's not a new thing.
