These Democrats and the radical liberals in the media are telling you that they are not for this country.

Between this and the House voting to limit Trump war powers (that were just fine when Obama used his powers) - what they are communicating is they would rather Soleimani, who is directly and indirectly responsible for thousands of deaths over a long period of time, be alive. We should not have performed a precision attack that harmed no other citizens other than its intended targets.

People around the world are celebrating his death... not Democrats... they would rather have the mass murderer still roaming the earth.

Senate Dems Won’t Support Measure Praising U.S. Military for Soleimani Killing

Not a single Democratic member of the Senate has lent their support to a Republican-driven congressional effort to praise the U.S. military and intelligence community members who helped carry out the successful strike that killed Iranian terror leader Qassem Soleimani.

...
The resolution is structurally identical to the 2011 Senate resolution praising former President Barack Obama for the operation that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. At that time, all 100 Democratic and Republican members of the Senate joined to support that resolution.

...
"Democrats complain whenever Republicans accuse them of Trump Derangement Syndrome," said the source, a veteran Republican political operative who works on foreign policy. "Here you have a clear case where they hate Trump so much that they won't even commend American troops for killing one of the world's worst terrorists, which is what the resolution is about. They're literally deranged."

Republicans put partisanship aside and understood it was good to take out bin Laden. Democrats are infected with TDS... you know what, I am not even going to blame this on TDS - they simply flat out don't care about this country, and they care more about themselves. And to not vote for this shows the high magnitude of disdain for America that they have.

It's to this country's shame that they are in positions to govern the direction of the country.

So Trump supporters constantly bash our intelligence agencies but now want to publicly praise them? Our military gets accolades all the time, why this now. I don't recall conservatives doing this when Bin Laden was killed, do you? And to say Republicans put partisanship aside when Bin Laden died is comical. Looks like just another reason to bash Dems to me.

I’m curious if there was a resolution for praising the military over bin laden? I honestly don’t know if there was one.

Did you not see the reference to it in the OP?

https://fas.org/irp/congress/2011_cr/sres159.html

Wait - the article in the OP is lying... only 97 Senate members (not all 100) voted for it. 3 members did not take part in the vote. Disregard everything...

Not sure if there is a reference to the intelligence agencies in this resolution.

But to be fair, Trump should clarify his intelligence remarks and distinguish between those in the lofty leadership positions (that deserve criticism), and the rank and file agency members that do good work on a daily basis.

If a big war got started over this or more attacks got inspired by this, would it have been worth it?

The point is, this is like popping a pimple. Sure it’s there, it’s ugly and you want it gone, but if you pop it, you have a mess and a scar that would last for a long time..

Hahaha!

Ok, you got me. They need to bring it up for a vote and then see who supports it. So far it has not been bought up for a vote, correct?

I posted the link to the vote in post #3. Click on the bold blue text using the left button on the mouse. Once the text shows up, scroll to the bottom and it shows the vote tabulation.

You guys trip me out. You will nitpick because you need to see precise evidence of a vote - but then you accept Trump/Russian collusion without any real evidence.
