The suit alleged that CNN defamed Nick Sandmann in at least four television broadcasts, nine online articles, and four Twitter posts. Coverage totaled 43 minutes.
ACTUAL UNCUT and UNALTERED footage of the incident showed no wrongdoing by Sandmann. The lawsuit was about a Jan. 18 incident after the March for Life anti-abortion event in Washington. Sandmann and other students from the religious private school in Kentucky were waiting for their bus near the Lincoln Memorial when they were approached by several Native American activists.
Sandmann is also suing The Washington Post and NBC Universal for their coverage of the incident.
This is so great and it made my day. I can't believe how people acted regarding these high school kids. First they were verbally attacked by a black extremist group. Then some crazy Indian comes up to Nick who is a minor at the time and pounds a drum in his face. These others are supposed to be adults and they are messing around with a bunch of kids? What gets me the most is how so many people acted toward this kid? If I was attacked because of my race and then had some dope pound a drum in my face, I don't think I would have handled it as well as Nick Sandmann did. I would have certainly pushed the Indian down or even to the ground, but I was an 80's kid, so that was different times. I am so glad he won a TON of money. Certainly millions and millions! Great. This is one of the many reasons I changed party from Democrat to Independent. How can people attack a bunch of school kids just because they were waiting for a bus supporting the President with a few hats? Seriously, people need to seek help!
After some of the continued wild denials even after the footage came out that the Covington kids innocence, I half expect some posters to show up saying CNN's own articles about them settling the lawsuit are fake.
