NO NO NO....no one promotes abortion...many do promote choice. THEN we need to tackle the problem --- better sex education, more affordable health care, etc....and then we can try to eradicate abortion as a birth control method. Sending it back to back room allies does nothing to eradicate it -- it just makes it illegal.
Why would we try to eradicate abortion as a birth control method?
Teen vogue is for teens and young adults. Most already are sexually active, or soon will be. Information should be made available to young women about all aspects of life. The more informed you are the better choices you make. all sides should be presented. Most women don’t regret their abortion choice. There is no shame to share your story and feelings about it. some women do regret and these stories are public as well. Just goes to underline how individual a pregnancy is. One size does not fit all.
Yet, that was the point. Apparently, abortion fits all so go do it.
Arguably "pro-choice" could be promoting abortion and having and raising the baby or giving the kid(s) up for adoption.
It absolutely is pro-choice for a woman to decide to go through with her pregnancy. She doesn't become a person that needs to be bossed around just because she becomes pregnant.
I've been using the term for 40 years now, and that's always been how I have understood it.
Most teens that have a baby would not paint a rosy happy picture on the joys of motherhood
Actually, you'd be surprised. Since you have no other view besides abortion is great. Everyone loves it. And everyone is thrilled when they have one.
You do not allow for any other view.
You would be shocked. If you actually took the time to take your get off the "abortion is the best thing since sliced bread" train.
I know some women who had kids as teens. They -- and their kids -- are doing great. But you discount that because it doesn't fit *what you have been told to believe.*
Get out of your social feedback loops. Learn something about people who are different from you.

interesting and heartening info/point to make:
Quote:
The abortion rate among 15- to 19-year-old girls and women has also been declining, from 44.0 per 1,000 in 1988 to 10.6 in 2013. Of the roughly 450,000 pregnancies among teens in 2013, about 61% are estimated to have ended in live births, 24% in abortions and 15% in miscarriages or stillbirths.
