Isn't that nature's design?
Why should there even be restrictions on marriage to begin with?! What business of it does the govt have interfering into marriage?

If they are basing the restrictions on biblical laws or Christianities opinion of homosexuality, that would be govt endorsing a particular religion and would not be appropriate anyway, due to separation of state and church.

I honestly don't get the opposition to same sex marriage.
How does one oppose two consenting adults who love each other and are willing to be bound together legally and spiritually for life?
Do these people not deserve the same rights as Heterosexual couples under the Law?
I understand the religious opposition to it but those beliefs can't deny the rights of these people under our laws.

Who died and made you God?
What is your opposition to this?
Is it the nature angle or religious angle or the fact that some voters will wasn't accepted?

The issues seems to be a separation of church and state. The concept of mans and woman only is solely based on religious beliefs and has no biological foundations. We do not understand the brain at great detail to date, we are still coming to understand human emotion (social media has taught us that), and history tells us homosexuality has existed as long as man had been on earth (many writings of same sex concubines exist through history.

I think a better solution is for The State view all “marriages” as civil unions because that is what they are. Allow the private citizens and religious organizations to call them what they want. There is no reason for the government to define it outside of qualifying for shared benefits, legal status of property or welfare concerns, and taxes.

The state should not care what different religions define marriage as, and even religious organizations are ripping apart trying to deal with it so they are not the best example of a solution. A agreed union between two consenting adult homosapiens is all it should require.
