When globalism is the least of our worries and Earth is complaining foreigners from mars? Or cheap products from Mars and people asking "Is this made here on Earth?"

Interplanetary travel is not possible for us, due to the effects of the solar and cosmic rays, that are filtered out by the atmosphere and the magnetic field surrounding our planet, when we're here on earth. Of course, this doesn't stop con-artists from trying to sell us on the fantasy of putting colonies on mars. Read the pros and cons of space travel at the link below, described by an expert, Dr. Charles Limoli. He underplays the damage done to our brains by these rays, if anything. But his research shows they would have a devastating effect on us, out in space.

They went to the lengths of actually landing rockets from orbit..

Very likely, yes, humans will one day colonize the Solar System and beyond, and differences among groups and the societies they create in various far-flung outposts will eventually dwarf the racial and cultural differences we now see on Earth.

No. There won't be any successful interplanetary colonization.
Human life strictly depends on a wide variety of conditions offered only by this planet.
This extends to such factors as this planet's precise gravity, light cycle, radiation exposure, atmospheric gas mixture, and even its tides.
All of which will not be duplicated even by the very far away, proposed "Earths" in the "goldilocks" zones of other stars.
Some of these factors may be dependent on things like the precise diameter and the distance of the single moon, the precise diameter of the Earth, the diameter of the Sun, and the distance of the Earth to the Sun. All features that will not be duplicated.
Nor are there intelligent aliens, at least none that will come into contact with this Earth. For the above reasons of life support and its improbability across even similar "Earths", as well as the vast distances in space that are difficult to overcome even when approaching light speed.
Both proposals are intellectual playthings without potential at best, and distractions at worst.
The Earth may not be technically at the center of the Universe as religious folks prior thought, but it may as well be in terms of its ability to sustain significant life.

It's a nice thought, but adequate gamma-ray shielding in a spacecraft wouldn't be possible. Each particle acting like a minuscule bullet that nothing stops.
