So what is the complicated, expensive answer?

To the contrary, the military budget has been drastically increased under President Trump after years of sequestration.

7.2 billion out of our 738 billion dollar defense budget to help secure our southern border. Sounds HORRIBLE!

The border, and citizenship needs to stand for something. Using lethal force, IMO, is an appropriate deterrent and penalty for entering the United States illegally.

Prosecute employers, remove the restrictions on universities doing research on automation in agriculture, create sterner forfeiture laws for those in the country illegally, e-verify, and create a bounty system are all reforms that need to take place.

This bending over and kissing the rear of these invaders is weak, pathetic, and sickening. It signals to the world we are weak people.
Good point. What was the total cost of the wall going to be ? Wonder if it would be cheaper to line the border with C-RAM's ?

Centurian C-RAM (land-based Phalanx): $15-18 million

Trump supporters have decided Trump should have the power of a dictator. He can override Congress, in fact in their opinion, he can do anything he wants.

It was a bi-partisan congress that passed the Secure Fence Act back in 2006 with both Obama and Schumer's signatures on it. Apparently, they didn't think it was a "low information solution for simplistic, low information people". But the walls were not built according to specs they were mostly flimsy fencing that could be breached. What a waste of the taxpayer's money because now Trump is seeking to build good physical barriers in their place along with an additional 300 miles of it. Those types of barriers have already proven to be very effective in deterring illegal entry contrary to the nayser fools in here who haven't bothered to search the truth or they have a vested interest in keeping the illegal alien flow going and they know that walls do work so it doesn't fit their agenda.

Redefining emergencies is a slippery slope. Wait until the Dems run someone with a shot and watch them use the same excuses to funder whatever left of center project they want.

Can't wait to vote in a leftist that makes climate change the next "emergency". It certainly is more deserving than some BS wall
