It is Aboriginal pressure, and/or it has determined it is "for the public good". Yes, a lot of bad things happen for that reason. I doubt this is one.
Aboriginals have a relationship with the land and animals that most of us could not even fathom, its far more of a spiritual almost religious relationship for them.

This is not a decision the elders would have taken lightly that is for sure. Those who say this cull was called to combat climate change, clearly have no knowledge of Aboriginal Australian culture.

Stop saying that is "Australia killing camels" . It is not Australia. It is the liberals , socialists, leftists who are doing that because that hoax agenda is sustained by them and no one else.

Hopefully this will end all debate, the 2011 proposal referred to was never actually made into law. Amazing how hard it is to find truth in media these days, this was about page 6 of a Google search, and preceded by about 100 sensationalist stories from all kinds of media outlets, saying exactly the same thing as the link provided by the OP. The fact is camel's have never been killed to obtain carbon credits in Australia, and that is not about to change.

I was limiting my assessment to the real world and I'm comfortable that this is my zone of understanding and concern.

Anyone believing camels are being slaughtered to combat global warming should be straight-jacketed and institutionalised....... or just apply some critical reasoning

It's not the camel's fault they were brought there. Round them up and have them sent back to their homelands of the African and Middle Eastern deserts. Why destroy a beautiful creature just because they are a nuisance to some people?

This is another reason why I stopped voting democrat. They used to be for animal rights and protections. Now they relish in destroying them.

I understand how you feel and love animals.

Realistically, the costs to do so would be extremely expensive.
And those funds can be used to feed or house homeless or other social human programs.

A bullet is cheaper. As mentioned up thread it's comparable to Feral Hogs. They damage the land, use resources and multiply like crazy.

I guess life is good when you're not a camel or bogged down with ethical discipline.

Good day.

Good day.
Or Boa Constrictors, Feral Hogs, Fire Ants, Nutria and the other hundred of Invasive species introduced by man into an Eco system where they are destructive, over populate and have no predators.

Thanks, think I will have a good day.
