Trump legitimizes a dictatorship that commits crimes against humanity by crossing over the border and going to Kim. Trump proselytizes himself by saluting the general of this oppressive regime!

North Korea is still working at Nuclear sites and has tested more missiles than any other year in its history!

Quote:
Although Trump says his friendship with Kim has produced a more peaceful North Korea, the reality, especially of late, has been quite different. Since May, North Korea has tested more missiles than it has in any other year in its history, except possibly 2016, according to the analyst Ankit Panda. It never stopped producing fissile material for nuclear bombs. Think tanks are pumping out reports on establishing “maximum pressure 2.0” against Pyongyang. The name-calling is back: Kim is once more “Rocket Man,” Trump a senile “dotard.” Satellites are spotting renewed activity at North Korean nuclear sites, while Kim has resumed testing at a rocket-launch site he had promised to dismantle in 2018. U.S. officials are yet again warning of military options. North Korean officials are proclaiming the days of denuclearization negotiations over.
Inside the Collapse of Trump’s Korea Policy

What did the US get in return? Another big win?

The message to the world is clear - if you already have nuclear weapons, you will get a high profile summit meeting with the leader of the free world. You will get love letters from Donald Trump.

If you don't yet have nuclear weapons, you will see the US reneging on any agreements they have with you, and killing your top generals with impunity.

So if you are Iran, the message is clear - develop nuclear weapons as fast as you can.

This 100%. He showed the world that we will not honor our agreements unless the counterparty has the nuclear clout to cow the US.

What did we gain?

A path to resolve the issues that have been ignored for the last 60+ years.

Specifically, what is this "path" that we didn't have before trump legitimized that regime?

I know what Kim got from trump, propaganda for his people.

The propaganda documentary includes footage and images of Kim's meeting with world leaders like President Trump, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and China’s Xi Jinping.

As of now we got nothing but we also lost nothing in the attempt. At least we gave the regime nothing but some good press, no money or tech was given away like in the past.

We gained nothing.

Kim played on his vanity, like a drum.

What we got was the ability to say to those who complain about America's supposed war-mongering that we tried another path; we tried the path of diplomacy. At this point, it doesn't appear to have worked, though I'd say the jury is still out. But if Trump is forced to employ a military response, he can shut up the complainers by reminding them that he did indeed try diplomacy, and it didn't work.

Ya yes, we must praise trump and everything he does as perfect. Otherwise we are mentally ill and should go to a reeducation camp!
