No evidence is no evidence, regardless of juries thoughts. Obviously the prosecutors were better lawyers and were able to persuade the jury.
Keep in mind that our system of justice is not about finding TRUTH, but rather, winning cases. Both sides should be working towards one goal, which is THE TRUTH. However, it has evolved into the prosecution against the defense at all cost, including the sacrifice of TRUTH. Thus, its truly about who has the better lawyer....most of the time.
