Doesn't matter at the end of the day.

Trump is most likely going to be re-elected, so I hope the Democrats felt it was worth it. Especially when some of them lose in November....
Trump the criminal is good enough for you and yours but not for me and mine and intelligent morally balanced patriotic people feel the same way I do.

I agree that he most likely will be re-elected. I will be stunned if that isn't the case. However, Trump hates the impeachment title. You can tell from his non-stop tweeting about it. I'm glad the Dems had the guts to do something to try and stop his flagrant abuse of power. Even if it cost the election. He will always and forever be an impeached president.

It is worth it regardless of election. Trump will forever be an impeached president and perhaps impeached many times because he thinks he can do anything he wants and runs the country like he's in the mafia. What this has done is put Trump and his supporters on record. In fact the entire Trump presidency has put Trump and his supporters on record. Evangelicals didn't have "sincerely held beliefs" if they got their guy in office. The GOP, including Ted "shut the government down" Cruz, don't care about the debt if their guy is in office.

The GOP doesn't care about the power of Congress vs. the presidency as long as they have their guy in office. They don't care about "socialism" if the recipients getting the handouts are their people. Never have I seen the GOP support tariffs. Now they love tariffs. Never have I seen the GOP say "let's pay taxpayer money to coal miners when their PRIVATE pension failed. Now they don't mind. Insulting our allies? Cool. The president saying he and Kim Jong-Un are in love? Awesome. After Trump, any Republican that complains about the actions of a future Democratic president will first have to explain why it was okay for Trump to do X.

What’s historic about a trade war Trump started? I love how everything Trump does tends to be historic.
The facts are that MOST of the tariffs remain in place and this is only phase one of the deal.
It’s not over yet.

https://www.npr.org/2020/01/15/79630...emain-in-place

The administration agreed not to impose tariffs last month on some $160 billion in Chinese imports — including popular consumer items such as cellphones and laptops — as part of the Phase 1 agreement. It also reduced the tariff rate on another $112 billion worth of goods from 15% to 7.5%.

But steep 25% tariffs remain in place on much of what the U.S. buys from China, including components that American factories use to assemble finished products. While Trump insists that China is paying those tariffs, numerous studies have found the costs are largely borne by American importers.

I’m surprised you don’t think this is worth the effort by congress and the supreme court.

Also, why to use name calling like dims? Lots of the elected officials are well educated and probably high IQ. Do you think they are all dim witted? I don’t really see a huge intellectual or educational difference between Republicans and Democrats.
Uh, Maxine Waters, comes to mind.

Wake me when September ends. What a joke.
