What Executive Privilege? Trump never asserted Executive Privilege - in instructed the entire Executive to ignore subpoenas whether or not the subpoenas sought information that could be protected by Executive Privilege.
Of course he will not be removed, because the GOP controls the senate.
He has been formally impeached, and that will be a permanent stain on his presidency forever, as long as the United States still exists. That makes me happy.
I'll go on record and say he won't be removed. Not because he doesn't deserve to be removed, but because McConnell and the GOP don't have the balls to do the right thing. However, removed or not, he will always be impeached. That's good enough for me.

That is more or less the theory behind so-called realpolitik - that it is all a struggle and anything goes to win. Realpolitik is more often applied to international politics but perhaps our country is so divided that the principle now applies to domestic politics as well.
I hope we haven't reached that level. Realpolitik abandons morals and ethics. I think most politicians, both Pubs and Dems, are still ethical people but both are getting close to crossing the line at times.
There isn’t any case , none at all. It is simply just another chapter in a long list of efforts to remove the POTUs from Office. It started before the election, continued to the first steps to change the votes of the Electors, then to Lawsuits and challenges based on opinions by left leaning academia and MSM talking heads. And then of course, was the 2 1/2 year Russian Collusion Hoax. The fact that Nancy still believes in it, incredibly she mentioned it in her speech the other day. After their star witness failed miserably, they still can’t give it up. They just can’t come to grips that they are not in the White House.

Did You Know: The Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the Obama Administration violated federal law in 44 separate instances. Clinton violated federal law 31 times, and Bush 30.
And none of those were impeachable offenses.... Go figure
They the mentally ill, cannot believe Trump has not violated any federal law. Not one, even after a political rectal exam daily.
So, they are going to fabricate a law, from thin air to "convict" .... They have completely lost what little minds they had left.
The door was opened by the GOP because of a sexual activity between 2 consenting adults. Bill decided to lie and created his impeachment. The Senate decided by 1 vote that was not worthy of removal. The DOJ created a memo, after this event, saying that a POTUS should not be investigated.
Today Trump has lied continuously from not knowing the people working for him to his payoff of a sexual affair during the birth of his youngest son. Currently Trump has been running the Gov't like a crime gang with all things being allowed even those against the Constitution and law.
Trump has paid off 2 fines on white collar crimes he committed since he took office. The DOJ has some memo, not a law mind you, a memo. That's says a POTUS when doing wrong should not be investigated.
Currently Trump has been proven to have Abused his Office by seeking a bribe on a foreign nation. To attack his opponent for the office.
To continue that he has Obstructed Congress in their lawful oversite capacity. Trump has openly told his staff to not honor lawful subpoenas. Not allowing Documents (which belong to us) to be disclosed. The ones he allowed have only deepened Trump's problems.
So I see that if the Senate really hold's a trial, Trump will be removed.
You mean that the "Feelings Police" got their feelings hurt themselves? Retribution, is all they have.
Hard to imagine how Trump/GOP-controlled Senate would remove him no matter what he did, and how often he is impeached.
The Dims partisan impeachment show about nothing gives no reason for impeachment other than TDS...but TDS is so strong, I would expect the Dims to impeach Trump again if they get the chance after his acquittal(s). I also expect Trump to be glad if he is impeached more than any President in history.
