It's a state .matter. It's not very well known now but a bunch of N CA counties tried to do this in the late 80s early 90s. It was called the NNV movement and it came very close to happening.

There was no provision in the CA constitution to stop such a move. NV was more than willing to take them. The CA legislature did a blitzkrieg session and stopped them in the 11th hour.

All record of this has been purged from CA record. I've looked for information about it but the only records seem to be in the memories of those of us who were there.

It would have been awsome. I dont know if VA could pull it off or not. The state legislature being what it is I kinda da doubt it.

Here is a glimpse of the next protest on the U.S capitol just as happened in Virginia last year when the democrats now that they have full control pass their gun control, next time the protesters will wearing more than just signs and flags. Either way that protest turns out with be a public relations nightmare for the democrats

Oh that little thang.

If you recall the crowd dispersed and the GA quickly passed all of the gun control measures. Virginians elected the GA members to do just that. Guess what? The state still went even bigger for the Dems this November and three Democrats were just elected in a special election this Tuesday.

What’s this PR nightmare of which you speak? There wasn’t one.

Move along. Like your rhetoric , your movement is flaccid.

no they did NOT pass the semi auto ban they had intended in Virginia and it was due to the march on the capitol.

But since we are on the subject NY did pass it with the SAFE act and there has been a 3% compliance rate what say you to that?

No state should be able to write any gun laws at all. The right to keep and bear arms is clearly spelled out in the second amendment and being so, would fall under the protections of the 9th and 10th.
