This deal also marks a victory for President Trump, who promised to overhaul NAFTA during the 2016 general election. ) Trump wins again!!

It passed 89-10. That means that more than 75% of Democratic Senators voted in favor of it.

Well of course they voted "no", the trade deal passing hurts them in 2020 by helping the country.

Sure. It basically gives NAFTA a new name, so there is no point in arguing against it.

Makes you wonder about the 10 senators that voted against it.

Including the 1 republican.

Scummy Schumer would vote "no" on curing cancer if it would hurt Trump's chances for reelection. Glad there are more democrats willing to work across party lines finally.

Each and every one of them needs to be fired. Any Democrat elected to the Senate will vote for Schumer to be majority leader and every Democrat elected to the House will vote for Pelosi as Speaker.

Some may have voted no if it didn't benefit the state they represent. Just saying. I mean it's not like DJT has an ounce of statesmanship in him, so why not vote parochially?

Dems have demonstrated, as with the ppaca, they neither read nor understood what they passed.

I'm sure some repubs do the same. Dems, for now, own the approval without knowing what it is they approved.

Dems had their way with the usmca..... Pelosi said she fixed it and took credit for it, so why did schummer balk?

Exactly. I wonder how the candidates that voted against it will spin this? Are the rest of the senate Democrats now trying to harm this country and only this small handful is trying to "save" us? Or will they have the honesty to admit they don't care about the country and simply want to disagree with anything Trump does?
