She's a regular contributor to the OPINION Section of the LA Times. Anyone can be a contributor of the OPINION Section. She doesn't work at the LA Times. She's a Warren supporter and has made negative comments about Bernie before.

Virginia Heffernan is a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times’ Opinion section

Bernie sanders is being railroaded out of the democratic party presidential candidate race again by the mainstream media (CNN, LA times, and others) and democratic party elites. I think Bernie is a kook, but it is obvious any chance for the party's nomination is rigged against him in favor of Warren.

If Bernie gets railroaded out of the nomination again, he should just run third party and screw the eventual Democratic candidate. He has nothing to lose, it's not like he will live much longer.

She is a Trump hater who writes with such vitriol that she is easy to dismiss.

Seems to be a pattern here. Anything a female politician does, regardless of how useless, destructive, counter-productive, or just plain silly it is, she is hailed as a "master strategist."

This nonsense, Pelosi withholding the articles, Hillary testifying about Benghazi (and openly admitting that she lied about the cause), Kamala "going after" key Republican figures with no effect whatsoever, etc.

Master strategists, one and all.

Meanwhile, Trump has been a transformative president on a scale not seen since Reagan, and they stand there staring like morons saying "but what has he done?"

He should have done that in the first place. Democrats are never going to let a fake Democrat and especially a progressive take over the party. The Super Delegates will take care of that.

At least Elizabeth Warren actually belongs and runs as a Democrat in the US Senate.
