The people who have been hoarding toilet paper disagree.

*cough*

“In the United States, long-term interest rates are lower than short-term rates — a phenomenon known as an inversion. Inversions have preceded every American recession of the last 60 years.”

Well, they won't run on yesterday's news. You guys are getting so desperate that you digging up stuff from the 4th quarter of 2019 and pretending that it still applies 3 months later. Even the Fox story that you linked to was published Jan 16, 2020.

In December of 2019 and January of 2020 the Corona virus was barely a blip on the horizon and the stock market was still partying on since at that point, no one was worried about an economic downturn due to the spread of a pandemic.

The Democrats can begin by running on the constant barrage of lies and information that are being constantly put forth by every single member of the republican party from the president on down. The Democrats can run on the newly volatile and constantly crashing stock market.

Last but not least, the Democrats can run on the fact that the born again haters of science in the Trump administration crippled the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Medicine and slashed the funding for medical research. Thanks to these things, the US - once a leader in scientific and medical research - is now forced to accept one million corona virus test kits from China because we can't figure out how to make enough test kits that will give a reliable response.

Any more stupid questions?

You can't eat toilet paper, when people run out of money because they can't go to work, they will be selling that toilet paper for pennies on the dollar to get money to buy food.
