I really don't get this, some of us want people (our neighbors, friends, loved ones) to take this issue seriously, you and yours have to demonize us, why is that?

Do I ask you to stop living? sheesh You can't stop people from sharing information, believe it or not, that is up to you.

All I know is that there is a confirmed case near where I live, I will avoid public areas as much I could but it doesn't mean I'd stop living my life. If you don't want to take the issue seriously, then that is up to you.
I think there's also some complacency amongst people who think that deaths only occur in sick elderly people. The 61 year old doctor who dropped dead at work was not elderly, and was probably fit and healthy when the outbreak started.

At this time, a 9 month old girl in Beijing has died, and the next youngest person is 36 years old. When more deaths are reported in the 9 month to 36 year age group, more people will take it seriously.

At this time there are 56 deaths and 52 recoveries. That means there are an awful lot of sick people that could go in either direction.

Correct. Asymptomatic for the 10-14 day incubation period, but still contagious all that time.

But where's the evidence to support it?
Are they testing every citizen?
Or is anyone who walks in with a cough automatically diagnosed with coronavirus regardless if it is coronavirus?

There's lots of fear mongering and panic, but little explanation regarding what's happening.
Reports from China show that the death toll from the coronavirus is being under reported, not being over reported. Many who have died have had their deaths attributed to viral pneumonia although they were diagnosed with having the corona virus.

It makes sense that the the Chinese government would try to downplay the deaths to reduce panic but their drastic actions run counter to the idea that this isn't a serious issue.

Another person who recently visited Wuhan, China.

So all the cases in the US are of people who physically went to Wuhan, China, so far anyway.

Honestly, I'd like to know if they went to that outdoor market.

leaked video from Wuhan. Some strong language.. He said to cherish this video because they can't get the word out of what is going on there. He is trying.

Looks like 5 cases in the USA that we know about. More on the way no doubt. With the extra long incubation period, I think it's safe to say this is worse than SARS.

ASU student. Every major university in the country has students who were in China during the semester break. We are doomed. China waited too long to do anything and our own country is more worried about the economic aspects of closing our borders to Chinese travelers than about the lives of older Americans.

Went to China in 1987 got the worst stomach poisoning ever on the last day. I don't think they have any kind of health inspection like we do here for restaurants, or markets.
