I used to walk through Chinatown in LA to get to work every morning. There were chicken feet lying on the sidewalks outside of the Chinese restaurants.
I can't even believe that people eat pigs feet, cows tongue , and liver. Ugh.. and that is here in America.
I put them in my chicken stock, or, I buy them and give them as dog treats.
I'm from Hawaii, so huge Asian population.
When I was in Hong Kong I ate pig tails, pig ears and pig snouts on skewers from streets vendors. I also got a horrible case of the flu, and ate turtle blood soup as a cure. It didn't cure it, but I almost got banned from airline flight as a potential SARS patient. It's curious they let me through, I sounded like I was going to heave a lung, but my previous 104 fever was normal the day of travel.... so off I went.
I do not find that reassuring looking at the current events.

I admit I love liver. Hard to find it. I used to get it when I went to this one restaurant. They had the best whole grain mustard sauce on it but they, like many restaurants here, have gone out of business. Oddly, I craved liver during chemo.
... developed & patented a virulent strain of Coronavirus that could be used for a vaccine & administered in the air or in drinking water. This is not your 'common cold' coronavirus, mind you. It could be used to make a vaccine for humans or animals & be adapted for all 27 types of Coronavirus.
I mean, depopulation simulations are WG's favorite kind of porn but geez.
Then there is this. China is notoriously BAD at keeping viruses where they belong. They have allowed SARS to escape multiple times from a lab in Beijing. So of course it was a concern that they just had to build a facility with even a higher level of security for holding these pathogens than the faulty Beijing facility, right? Well they went ahead & did it. Built themselves a facility. Right in ... Wuhan.

This Dr is saying they should keep the movement of people to the minimum to keep the transmission lower or there will be thousands more in waves of second and third generations of many more.
He is not addressing the travel of Chinese to other countries. That should be addressed as well to keep it from spreading globally.
