There are ways to mitigate this issue, but we need to recognize that declining socioeconomic mobility is a problem in our society. Hey we could just resort to ad hominem attacks and call people lazy trash without knowing their story, that seems to work.

Regarding schools, funding isn't the issue. Some of the highest-funded school districts in the country (examples: Washington, DC and Camden, NJ) have abysmal educational results.

It's a carrot in front of a donkey. It's a big eternal lie invented by those with money and power to keep the sheeple under control.

Who says you have to be a millionaire to have a good life?

Millions of people work their way up the ladder.....just look around you.

But apparently, too many people think they should be handed a "living wage" without having to put in their time and work for it.

Put in your time.

Gain experience and make yourself more valuable to employers. Do whatever it takes, day after day and year after year.

And eventually you can work your way to at least the middle class. Just be realistic and don't expect it to happen overnight.

Hell.... if an ex stoner like me can do it without going to college.....

How hard can it be?

Hard work paid off for everyone I know. However hard work is often camouflaged as
sticktoitiveness without sweating, sometimes both. Often the reward comes after the fact, and is a strategic move.

However it's also true to say hard work is often overlooked until the "tape" is reviewed and that typically occurs after the game... using sports as an example.

Never give away your power. Always believe you work for a greater purpose, no matter what your job/work is.

I am a work idealist. I've learned this and passed it on.

Then work for yourself. You're not going to become wealthy in a regular 40 hr a week job...unless you live very, very frugally and invest your money for the long run. Even then, you could probably do a better job at it working for yourself.

Why work hard when liberals in CA and NJ want to remove "Independent Contractor" from millions of people and make them employees? No. They are not. Not in any way, shape, or form.

We are seeing this play out before our eyes in the US and around the developed world. Time to wake up.

Could you point out where, "before our eyes" , capitalism has caused the masses to rise up? However... I can point out where socialism or communism or dictatorship has caused such, and capitalism has taken root.
