Most of these deaths from alcohol involve overdosing on NSAIDS along with the alcohol. Tylenol and alcohol are deadly when mixed in the right amounts. They cause acute toxic liver failure. Why are people OD'ing on alcohol and NSAIDS? Because they are being deprived of the opioid painkillers that would deal with their pain. NSAID's and alcohol are the next best thing to kill chronic pain even though the two mixed together don't really come close to being as effective as narcotics.

Actually to the OP it doesn’t matter. No matter the underlying cause of liver damage and deaths, just make the OP happy and blame Trump.

Please educate yourself because you are so misinformed. PM me if you want to be educated. People with liver disease would never even think of taking an opiod. How stupid is that. Medication is processed though the liver. Any pain comes from not eating right. Again, educate yourself.

Would it be that difficult to type out names rather than using obscure acronyms? I had no idea what NAFLD meant so I Googled it, but really, keyboard warriors do this constantly and it disrupts the flow of a thread!

Typically I skip posts when people use unfamiliar acronyms. I am sure I'm not alone.

For people in serious pain opioids are the only effective way to control it. Tylenol and alcohol combined kill. Not all medications are processed through the liver. Please read the article below and educate yourself, Natalie. You obviously need it more than I do.

Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS rarely affect the liver. Unlike acetaminophen (Tylenol), most NSAIDs are absorbed completely and undergo negligible liver metabolism. Generally, NSAIDs are very liver-safe. Aug 2, 2018.
While NSAIDs rarely affect the liver, they have important adverse effects on the kidneys that you should know about.
