Trump’s job approval rating just hit a new high in, of all places, a far-left Washington Post poll.
Among registered voters, Trump enjoys 47 percent support, with 50 percent disapproving.
Trump sits at about even with independents: 47 percent approve, 48 percent disapprove.
A blazing 58 percent of registered voters approve of the job Trump’s doing with the economy, with only 36 percent disapproving.
Oh, and…
A majority of registered voters oppose Trump’s removal from office, 51 to 45 percent.
Even among all adults — meaning not screening out registered voters, meaning a bigger pool of Democrats — a plurality of 49 to 47 percent oppose removing Trump from office; Trump’s job approval number hit a new high of 44 percent approve (51 percent disapprove); and 56 percent approve of his handling of the economy, a ten-point bump from September.
OH. And by the way 70% +- of everybody want witnesses and evidence in the Senate trial. Meanwhile 95%+- of republicans in the house DO NOT want evidence and witness. Good luck with that.
And why in the world are they making the case for witnesses? I thought Trump and the Republicans didn't want witnesses.
On you first point, I note that it's being told by the $50M liar Brian Williams. NBC which lied about Russiagate for 2 years and then Mueller found nothing.
On the 2nd point, Trump has never said he didn't want witnesses. I challenge you to prove that he did.

Just checked 538. Trump's approvals are still in the low 40s. Disapproval in the low 50s.
The numbers are bumped up a bit by Rasmussen which has him at 49 both ways.
Rasmussen always seems to trend higher for Trump. As their polling consists of contacting those still answering landline phones, that's to be expected.
Because they would have been called racist. Even people who (rightly) questioned Obamacare were attacked as not liking it "because a black man came up with it."
