Well, the way that I see it is that given a choice between Gabbard and Sanders or Biden, I think that most Republicans would prefer Gabbard; and given a choice between Gabbard and Trump, I think that most Democrats would prefer Gabbard.
Gabbard is trying to be relevant. She is using Clinton. Clinton has a documentary coming out. The media was in a frenzy when they heard the comments Clinton made about Sanders in the documentary. Gabbard is trying to ride off that. Bye, girl, bye. She needs to stay over at Fox News and whine to Tucker Carlson. Most Democrats don't take her seriously at all.
Despite what Trump says, the 2008 Clinton campaign and the candidate herself never trafficked in the rumors.
After years of denying the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s presidency, it was only in the midst of his own presidential campaign only in the midst of his own presidential campaign that Donald Trump began falsely claiming Hillary Clinton was the true progenitor of the “birther” conspiracy theory claiming Obama was not born in the United States.
But that’s swapping one discredited claim for another. Numerous factchecks, reports and interviews — in 2008 and 2011, when Trump revived the controversy — revealed that although some Clinton supporters circulated rumors about Obama’s citizenship, the campaign and Clinton herself never trafficked in it.

Good 100% accurate post. It's amusing to see Trump supporters still trying to pin the origin of the "birther" hoax on Hilary. And also notice that not one single Trump supporter has ever called Trump out for spreading that lie.
If you're a politician, a public figure you better get used to people saying all kinds of things about you. Very strange lawsuit. Makes me wonder, especially the timing of the suit, election year...
I agree. It's very unbecoming of a politician (or any party) move, especially to ask for 100M compensation - seems like something one would do only if they 100% given up on political career and are trying to reap some financial benefits before hopping on the plane to Ecuador.
Public generally expects a politician to be thick-skinned and to be able to roll with the punches, using opponents accusations to their advantage, to expand their PR exposure...being able to make lemonade from the lemons. This lawsuit is just some very bad PR.
