“Klimahysterie” or “climate hysteria” has been chosen as Germany's Unwort (non-word or ugly word) of 2019. Here’s why.

The expression, which has been used by people in politics, business and the media, was chosen because it "sweepingly pathologizes the increasing commitment to climate protection as a kind of collective psychosis”, said the jury on Tuesday at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Combining the words climate and hysteria, linguistics professor and jury spokeswoman, Nina Janich, added that the word aims to "defame climate protection efforts, the climate protection movement, and to discredit debates" on the theme.

That's how you know it's fake.

They got nothing, so they cannot engage in reasonable debate and the only thing they can do is try shout down people who throw their own science right back in their face.

They constantly lie, if not out-right, then by omission.

They continually scream, "Sea level rise!" but then lie by omission when they don't tell you that during the last 8 recorded Inter-Glacial Periods the sea level rose 3 meters to as much as 14 meters, and CO2 levels were less than 280 ppm.

When you link to the peer-reviewed science published in reputable sources like National Geographic and Nature, they pretend they don't see or make up excuses.
